Dine In CT has been working with social services in several towns to identify families with children who are need of food during this pandemic. For whatever reason (there are many), we have families who right now cannot put enough food on the table each day. We asked social services for a list of who would like help and also asked for a list of any child having a birthday in May. Today we sent Carvel Cake to a 6 year old for with happy birthday wishes.

We are specifically looking to feed the children in each town and bring 1 or 2 adults meals as well.

We have put together a menu from various restaurants (I am sure we will hear from more that want to help as well), heavy on kids meal choices. Anything you can do will be appreciated. We are starting with "Farmington Valley Families in Need", this will encompass Famington, Canton, Burlington, Avon, and Simsbury, and will move on to other sections of the state.

As with our "Feed the Hospital Staff", we make no money on this. We remove all fees and gratuities from the orders you send in. We cover the drivers, credit card processing, and disposable supplies. We do this so all of your dollars go directly to food only. So don't put a gratuity on and we will have it be fee exempt on your screen. The restaurants do make revenue but are basically using it to keep afloat at this point so we are helping families and restaurants at the same time.
